A central challenge in ocean conservation is that many of the benefits provided by healthy marine ecosystems are not reflected in economic systems.
Blue Green Future contributed to the development and validation of carbon valuation methodologies for mangroves, seagrasses, and saltmarshes, providing a foundation for Ocean Central's ecosystem valuation tools. This work was led by our co-founder and CEO Ralph Chami, who serves as Wave's Chief Economist.
